Sip And Dine For The Cause During National Breast Cancer Awareness Month At These 9 Hotspots
Today, October 1, marks the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month for 2018. This month, international breast cancer charities will work to drive and promote health campaigns to increase awareness of the disease while raising funds towards its cause, treatment, and prevention. Take a look at how nine New York City hotspots are celebrating and giving back.
TAO Uptown, TAO Downtown, LAVO, Beauty & Essex, Bodega Negra, The Stanton Social, Vandal, Legasea, PHD, PHD Terrace, Magic Hour – #DRINKPINK
TAO Group’s #DRINKPINK campaign revolves around the #DRINKPINK specialty cocktail made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Aperol, grapefruit and lime. TAO Cares will donate $1 from each #DRINKPINK specialty cocktail sold to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer while Tito’s Handmade Vodka has vowed to match up to $45,000 raised from TAO Care’s #DRINKPINK cocktail sales throughout the month. In addition, 10% of proceeds from select rosé glass and bottle sales including Dom Perignon Rosé, Moet Nectar Rosé and Notorious Pink Rosé will be donated to TAO Group’s #DRINKPINK campaign.
Beauty & Essex – Pink Wonder Wheel
The chefs behind TAO Group including chef Chris Santos and chef Ralph Scamardella were inspired by TAO Cares’ #DRINKPINK campaign and decided to create “pink” dessert specials in the restaurants, available for the entire month of October. 10% of sales from each “pink” dessert sold will also be donated by TAO Cares to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Beauty and Essex’s Pink Wonder Wheel consists of eight mini servings of cotton candy, fudge, caramel corn, soft pretzels, caramel apples, zeppolis, cake pops, and elephant ears.
LAVO – Oreo Zeppole & Strawberry Milkshake
From the chefs behind TAO Group, comes the Oreo Zeppole dusted with pink sugar accompanied by a strawberry milkshake with whipped cream and pink sprinkles to LAVO for the month of October. 10% of sales from each pink dessert sold will also be donated by TAO Cares to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
Ocean Prime New York – Prime Margarita
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Ocean Prime New York has partnered with New York-based charity, 5 Under 40, to offer cocktails for a cause. For every cocktail sold, a portion of the proceeds for the entire month of October will go to 5 Under 40
TAO Uptown & TAO Downtown – Giant Pink Fortune Cookie
If we were to guess, we’d say that this giant pink fortune cookie filled with white and dark chocolate mousse, will be the hit of the month this October! With 10% of sales donated by TAO Cares to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer – you can be sure to feel good while you indulge.
The Regency Bar & Grill – Pink-politan

This October, guests of The Regency Bar & Grill can drink for a cause and support Breast Cancer Awareness month with a specialty cocktail, Pink-politan. The Pink-politan, inspired by the classic Cosmopolitan, is pink in color and sweet in taste. Made with Grey Goose Vanilla, Cointreau, Fresh Lime Juice and Cranberry Juice, the cocktail will be priced at $24. 10% of the proceeds from the Pink-politan will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
The Stanton Social – Pink Velvet Cake Milkshake Shots
Today a cheers is in order! Don’t miss out on these pink velvet cake milkshake shots made with pink velvet cake ice cream and gentleman jack bourbon from the team at TAO Group. With these delicacies, 10% of sales will be donated by TAO Cares to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
Tijuana Picnic – Carrie Bradshaw, Pretty In Pink & Rosy Rosado
Lower East Side hotspot Tijuana Picnic has painted its frontage bright pink, and will be offering a specialty menu of pink cocktails, all curated by beverage director, Jim Kearns. $2 from each cocktail sold will be donated directly to Komen Greater NYC to support breast cancer research for the entire month of October. The three featured cocktails include the Carrie Bradshaw made with jalapeño tequila, Aperol, soda, coco mix, lime juice, hellfire bitters, and makrut leaves; the Pretty in Pink made with lemon juice, grenadine, Lairds Bonded apple brandy, blanco tequila, and cherry garnish; and finally the Rosy Rosado made with blanco tequila, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, lime juice, and three muddled raspberries.
Hudson Hotel – Pink Lady
For every Hudson Lady cocktail sold, a portion of the proceeds will go to 5 Under 40 for the entire month of October.
