Stuart Weitzman and Chanel aren’t the only new haute shopping spots in town. New York City-based luxury label Mansur Gavriel has made its way to the West Coast with its recently opened Melrose Place boutique. A veritable handbag haven, the airy 5,000-square-foot space features a boutique, a flower shop, a cafe, a central indoor garden complete with a pond, and an outdoor courtyard. And just as you’d expect from the celebrity-beloved brand, every corner of it is Instagram-worthy.
In the main room, shoppers will find the brand’s delicious ready-to-wear pieces, leather handbags, and accessories in an array of beautiful colors alongside exclusive and limited edition items made in vintage Italian fabrics.
The second room of the boutique is filled with Italian ceramics, furniture, Murano glassware, linens, and other home goods carefully curated by designers Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel.
Adjoining the pretty pink shop is Cafe Flora where shoppers can refuel after shopping with soups, pastas, salads, and pastries–all inspired by the brand itself and crafted in collaboration between the designers and chef Scott Boggs.
Shoppers can also opt to enjoy their food outside in the outdoor courtyard and garden surrounded by protea, blooming bougainvillea and olive, citrus, and pomegranate trees.
The debut of the new store is a homecoming of sorts. Mansur and Gavriel first met here in Los Angeles back in 2010 and instantly connected. Judging by all of the attention to detail that went into the design of the boutique and all the LA vibes that were infused, it’s safe to say that the city has a special place in their hearts.
