Introducing The Urus, Lamborghini’s First Sport Activity Vehicle

Lamborghini’s first Super Sport Activity Vehicle is no stranger to its heritage. Let us remind ourselves of the LM002, whilst further design language incorporated from Countach, Miura and even the Muricielago. This superior creation is full of muscle, power and presence. It is the third model in line of the famous Italian brand and the first connoisseurs will be driving it come Spring 2018.

What will make them smile is a four-litre eight cylinder engine delivering 650 bhp and performance figures of speed and acceleration unfathomable ever before. While engineers made a huge effort to keep the weight slightly above two tons, a turbo engine had to be introduced for the first time. Urus name is delivered from a range of bulls, stopping power comes in the form of carbon-ceramic brakes 440mm in diameter front and 370mm rear.

Further soul stirring enhancements include a modus operandi selector called Tamburo; with six options of forward motion delivery. Four wheel drive is an enhancement coupled to a Torsen mid-differential which will, by application of various torque vectoring and limited slip mechanics, ensure very little tire slip. Interior offers space for five people, transmission is an eight-speed automatic, air suspension allows height selection besides the usual comfort in driving.
