Savannah College Of Art And Design Presents SCAD At MIAMI

The Savannah College of Art and Design, better known as SCAD, will be introducing SCAD at MIAMI at this year’s extravagant Art Basel Miami. From December 6 to December 10, SCAD at MIAMI will celebrate those who have pursued a creative education and showcase the great works of alumni who focused on contemporary and creative art.

SCAD at MIAMI will include “Chroma,” an immersive installation exhibition by renowned internationally acclaimed artist and SCAD deFINE ART 2017 honoree Carlos Cruz-Diez. This exhibition will explore Cruz-Diez’s experimental and multidisciplinary practice while examining the artist’s groundbreaking and innovative color theory philosophies.
The pop-up art exhibit will also feature works by SCAD alumni, Christopher Paul Dean, Cory Imig and Britt Spencer — three artists who, like Cruz-Diez, focus on the vibrancy of colors, patterns and crisp lines as primary elements of composition to the work.
The pop-up week long event during Basel will also host an alumni artist conversation, artistry workshops and an admissions information session for prospective students.
SCAD at MIAMI will take place at Untitled, Miami Beach, located at Ocean Drive and 12th Street and will host SCAD Art Sales located within the Untitled, Miami Beach, pavilion at Booth E28.
