The RealReal Pop-Up Now Open In Union Square
Just in time for holiday shopping, the RealReal, the leading luxury consignment company with a massive ecommerce presence, has opened doors to a San Francisco-based brick-and-mortar location this morning. The pop-up boutique, which will be open for two months, is located at 222 Stockton Street in Union Square. The SF shop is the second stand alone store experience for the brand. The RealReal’s New York flagship in Soho debuted earlier this year to glowing reviews.
At the pop-up, fashion lovers will be able to shop a wide selection of lightly worn and slightly used merchandise from top designers. Those looking to consign articles they have grown tired of can also drop off jackets, dresses, and handbags at the boutique. Everything from sunglasses and fine jewelry to shoes and silk blouses will be available from luxe brands like Dior, Hermes, Chanel, Gucci and Prada. Both buyers and sellers enjoy the RealReal because items sell quickly, inventory is constantly updated, and the price is right. Consigners earn up to 85% of the sales price making it a preferred place to resell items for many ladies prominent in the San Francisco social set.
The RealReal’s staff of gemologists, art curators, and authentication specialists will be on hand at the pop-up to answer questions and provide personalized service. “As a San Francisco-based company, we’re excited to expand our brick-and-mortar footprint to the west coast and open our doors to the luxury shoppers and consignors of our hometown this holiday season,” the RealReal’s CEO and founder, Julie Wainwright, said in a statement. “We are always looking for new ways to offer our customers and consignors access to our experts on a personal level and our SF pop-up shop is another strategic move for us in that direction. We’re excited to test the market and bring our one-of-a-kind luxury experience to the Bay Area.”
The RealReal pop-up is now open every Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays, 12 to 6 p.m. Black Friday shoppers should note the boutique will open at 9 a.m. and discounts will be deep—up to 75%!
