Louis Vuitton Debuts Limited-Edition Objets Nomades At Upcoming Miami Design
Since 2012, famed Parisian fashion house Louis Vuitton has annually released an exclusive collection of limited edition, travel-inspired furniture and home goods, called Objets Nomades. This year, two new designers – India Mahdavi and Tokujin Yoshioka – have brought their creative visions to the special collection, which will be open to the public during Miami Design next month.
Several pieces will be making their Design Miami debuts, including the Swing Boat, the Belt Chair and the Spiral Lamp, all by Atelier Oï and the Palaver Chair by Patricia Urquiola, as well as India Mahdavi‘s Talisman Table and Marcel Wanders‘ Diamond Screen and Lune Chair – an armless, curved, rocking chair with a leather seat and padded pillow.
However, the most highly anticipated piece this year will be the never-before-seen edition of the Bomboca Sofa – a special collaboration between Louis Vuitton and the Campana Brothers, Fernando and Humberto. The brothers were inspired by the dynamic city of Miami when they made the unique furniture piece, which is crafted from the same leather that Louis Vuitton uses to make its handbags. The cushions are made from varied fabrics and leathers in hues of blue, and can be removed from the couch and used as pouffes for additional seating.
The exhibitions will be open to the public during Design Miami and at the Louis Vuitton Miami Design District store from December 6th – December 10th, inclusive, with the following showtimes and exact locations:
Wednesday, December 6th: 12 – 8pm
Thursday, December 7th: 10am – 8pm
