It is my understanding by way of the rise of the YouTube and Instagram beauty guru movement that most everyone these days would do almost anything to find out what’s inside a makeup artist’s kit. There is, in fact, a way you can do so and it’s called L Makeup Institute though it’s more than what its name suggests.

One of the most beneficial things about L Makeup Institute’s most recent venture is the convenience of shopping directly from the kit of professionals from their new 2,000 square-foot makeup store. It is an Official Pro Store for Makeup Forever and carries other brands like BECCA Cosmetics, NYX, Ben Nye, Beauty Blender, and Inglot to name a few.

“Our retail component now makes it possible for anyone to have a celebrity-style red carpet treatment for any occasion. For formals, charity events, weddings, costume parties and more, we offer full makeup application services using only the highest-level products,” said Founder Lissette Waugh.

The retail store ranges in skincare lines; a wall dedicated to beautiful false lashes starting at only $2, and another wall dedicated to prosthetic makeup. They offer false lash application for $15 and traditional makeup application for $55. If you need special effects makeup, they offer that too. The retail store even offers group makeup lessons.

Staff are knowledgeable, professional makeup artists and mostly alumni from the L Makeup Institute.

The makeup school finds itself within the same premise of the retail store. It is Las Vegas’ only accredited school offering a full curriculum in makeup artistry and special makeup effects. It’s located at Tivoli Village and it’s open Monday through Saturday from 10AM to 7PM, and Sunday noon through 5PM.
