The meal began with a Moser Salad with mixed greens, sliced strawberries, Blue Cheese crumbles and toasted Walnuts, and was followed by the main dish: Boneless Braised Short Ribs of Beef Encrusted Pan Seared Sea Bass. The entree was served with Collard Greens with Chow Chow, Fresh Georgia Corn Pudding, Parmesan Topped Roma Tomatoes and Mashed Potatoes. Bridges and his stunning wife Eudoxie were all smiles as they mingled amongst their closest friends and family which included Tyrese and his wife, along with Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and Ludacris’ mother Roberta Shields.
After blowing out the trick candles on the cigar cake, which was created by the masters at Highland Bakery, toasts were made and gifts were given. Martell Cognac presented the self-proclaimed cognac-connoisseur with an engraved distinctive arc shaped bottle of Martell XO, which combines the elegance of the Borderies with the power of the Grande Champagne Cru, and Rolls Royce gave Bridges a pair of stunning and exclusive pair Dark Spirit of Ecstasy Cufflinks. But it was the gift from Mayor Kasim Reed that really brought this celebration to another level. On behalf of the city of Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed donated $20,000 to The Ludacris Foundation. Touched by the generosity, Chris was speechless and his mother brought to tears, saying how much this would help the youth and the victims of the Hurricane Harvey in Texas. Others started to give as well and by the end of the evening $50,000 was raised for The Ludacris Foundation.
