September is finally here, which, for most means preparing for autumn by reintroducing sweaters into your wardrobe. For Californians, however, it means one thing: wine. Vino enthusiasts across The Golden State can get their fix of tastings, tours, and festivals this September as Cali celebrates its diverse wine scene—and, the drinkers who make it all worth it. Wine month, we welcome you with open arms, and empty glasses.

Taste of the Town, Santa Barbara

Benefitting the Arthritis Foundation, Taste of the Town will offer vino connoisseurs and foodies alike the chance to support a great cause through their taste buds. The event, which will take place on Sunday, September 10, is fitting for drinkers who want to keep things local by taking a tour of the area’s finest wineries, breweries, restaurants, and caterers.

Event runs from 12 – 3 p.m., tickets are $125 per person. Riviera Park, Santa Barbara, CA


Vina Robles Winery, Paso Robles

For a weekly dose of seasonal wines, consider stopping by this charming, European-inspired winery in Paso Robles that’s celebrating Cali wine month each weekend this September by featuring three specialty summer wines, served alongside three thoughtfully crafted dishes by Exec Chef Randal Torres. From perfectly-chilled rosé with prosciutto and melon to cabernet sauvignon with mushroom rigatoni, their flavorful summertime menu is nothing short of impressive.

Benziger Family Winery, Glen Ellen

If a luxe block party sounds up your alley, look no further. Benziger’s annual Block Party—open to club members only—let’s loyal followers participate in harvest activities, like testing sugar levels in the grapes and sipping on special releases. This hands-on, exclusive gathering (September 16) is an exciting and educational way for serious Sonoma Valley visitors to get their vino fix in before fall.

Lambert Bridge, Dry Creek Valley

Our ideal pre-autumn send-off? Exquisite cuisine, a perfectly paired glass of vino (or two), and an intimate alfresco atmosphere. Thankfully, Lambert Bridge is offering a unique dining and drinking experience prepared by Jack Herron, Executive Chef and Owner at Eatit, Makeit, Growit at Hidden Pond Farm, from September 15 to September 17 as a part of their Chef’s Table Series.

Temecula Valley Showcase, Temecula

Discover over 30 wineries on September 30 in one location at this annual showcase that lets guests mix and mingle with winery owners and winemakers all night long. The highly anticipated walk-about event—hosted by Monte De Oro Winery—will also feature culinary delights from local eateries and caterers, as well as a live band.

General Admission is $89, VIP access is $110. Runs 7:30 – 10 p.m.
