Why We Can’t Get Enough Of Big Boi And His Dogs
Right now, Atlanta and people across the country are buzzing about Atlanta-based Big Boi.
After announcing his upcoming tour for his solo album Boomiverse, Antwan Big Boi Patton took a break from his busy schedule to share some good will and his passion for dogs with a little girl in need. 5-year old Abriya Ellison has returned home after three grueling months at a rehab facility. The sweet girl was shot last April while playing in a bounce house in Atlanta. She is now paralyzed from the waist down.
Big Boi took time from his busy schedule to surprise the little girl Abriya Ellison with a sweet little puppy, who she promptly named King. He definitely changed her life and the exchange tugged at our heartstrings. He has also agreed to pay the rest of her medical bills, pay all costs relating to the dog and to make her bathroom handicap accessible.
Aside from giving back to those in need, Antoine “Big Boi” Patton is at the top of his music game after releasing his solo album with Epic Records called Boomiverse on June 16th. The album which continues to receive rave reviews features the old-school Atlanta flavor that made us fall in love with the grammy winning rapper and Atlanta legend Big Boi in the first place. Currently, we can’t get enough of his single “Chocolate”. The music video features, along with major sexual innuendo, beautiful woman and chocolate galore, an adorable French bulldog who mouths the words chocolate throughout the song. So cute. And fitting for the artist who is known to be passionate when it comes to his dogs. In fact, he breeds these beautiful Frenchies at Pitfall Kennels with his brother James (celebrities like Rick Ross buy their canine companions from Pitfalls)
And, just last week, the legendary singer, songwriter and producer announced his Daddy Fat Saxx Tour for his new album. Big Boi kicks off his Daddy Fat Saxxx Tour in Chicago at the the North Coast Music Festival. Other cities on the tour include New York, Boston, and Nashville, where he’ll conclude the first leg of the tour on Sept. 24.
