Born from the excitement of Fashion’s Night Out, Williamsburg Shopping Weekend was created by Stephanie McDermott of The Vale Collective to bring businesses together. Her idea was to create some buzz in the neighborhood, and bring tourists, Manhattan shoppers and locals out to the city’s boutiques – with gifts, discounts and drinks as an incentive offered by the participating stores in North Williamsburg.
