Haute Living and Hublot Celebrate Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
Haute Living and Hublot came together on Tuesday night to celebrate Los Angeles July/August cover star, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, also known as Jaime Lannister to Game of Thrones fans. The exclusive event was held at the stylish Doheny Room in West Hollywood.
It’s a bittersweet time for the actor, as Season 7 premiers today. Coster-Waldau has dedicated much time to the GOT series—eight years to be exact. It comes as no surprise that GOT lovers out there are a tad bit sad to hear the beloved series is coming to an end. After all, it is labeled as television’s most popular show for reasons that are quite obvious.
Aside from the much talked about final season, Coster-Waldau has so much more to celebrate. There’s his role in Small Crimes, a crime drama that premiered at SXSW, another role in the Saban Films-produced Shot Caller, and a newly announced role in Brian De Palma’s thriller, Domino.
All this Hollywood talk does not define Coster-Waldau though, he is humble and extremely grounded. The down-to-earth actor made his way in and greeted guests with his charming smile, mingling and pausing every so often for a picture or two. Guests enjoyed handcrafted cocktails and just like that, it was dinnertime.
Coster-Waldau chatted away and shared laughs with his guests. The dimly lit, old-Hollywood glam space set a perfect mood for the special evening. Executive chef, Daniel Elmaleh crafted a delicious menu for the night, for starters: crispy brussels sprouts, avocado and beet sushie, roasted vegetable salad, mushroom toast, and Greek chicken meatballs. For entrees: steak and Bearnaise, and Scottish roast salmon.
Right before dessert, Haute Living CEO, Kamal Hotchandani took a moment to make a toast honoring Coster-Waldau. Hotchandani thanked him for a wonderful evening and congratulated him on all of his successes and the ones that are yet to come. Jean-Francois Sberro, Managing Director of Hublot North America, also said a few words, thanking Coster-Waldau and Haute Living for the special evening. The handsome actor thanked both Hotchandani and Sberro and shortly after, the apple tarte dessert made its way out to top off the celebration.
Notable guests in attendance to honor the actress included: Editor-in-Chief Laura Schreffler, National Director of Events for Haute Media Group, Violet Camacho, Shepard Fairey, Peter Flinth, John Simonian, Greg Simonian, Jeff Hyland, Jeffrey Chassen, Henrik Fisker, Barbara Muschietti, Kerry Vickar, Ashkan Ghavami, Dr. Stuart Kaplan, Sean Lee, Zach Lu, Jane Harding, Alexei Mizin, Alec Monopoly, and Crime By Design.
