Quick Hits: Second Annual Primo di New York Will Take Place on June 23
On Friday, June 23, the Primo di New York will be awarded for the second time in its existence to New York’s best pasta dish! This is the first competition to recognize the classic Italian dish, organized by Italian pasta company Pastificio di Martino. Food experts and a talented, international jury will come together at the historic James Beard House to select a winner.
The winner of Primo di New York will be awarded $5,000, a personalized Primo di New York chef’s jacket, engraved Agnelli pan and a trip to Gragnano, Italy, known as The City of Pasta, to explore the history of Gragnano’s pasta-making and participate in Le Strade della Mozzarella, a conference celebrating Italian food and excellence. Primo di New York celebrates Italian culture and gastronomy, emphasizing pasta as a staple of Mediterranean cuisine and tradition.
