Quick Hits: Weddington Way Comes to Michigan Ave

Just in time for wedding season, Weddington Way, an e-commerce shopping destination for millennial brides, opened it’s first brick-and-mortar Chicago outpost on the Mag Mile. The new shop-in-shop is located inside Banana Republic at 744 N. Michigan Avenue.

The e-tailer, which is best known for offering a virtual showroom experience that allows brides and their bridal parties to shop for dresses together regardless of location, is taking a cue from other historically online-only retailers like Rent-the-Runway with its IRL showrooms, which allows customers to try on dresses, get their measurements taken, browse swatches and work with stylists before placing an online order.

Any dress in the Michigan Avenue shop can be simultaneously added to the customer’s virtual showroom (with notes on fit, color, etc.) during the appointment, and the shop will also give shoppers a chance to browse a range of accessories and gifts.

An incentive to check it out? For a limited time, Weddington Way is also offering a free robe with in-store dress purchase.
