Quick Hits: Brooklyn Hotspot, Westlight

Haute Cuisine, News | June 30, 2017

Thriving in the Williamsburg neighborhood is summer hotspot Westlight, a 22nd-floor rooftop bar offering incredible views of NYC atop The William Vale hotel.

Chef Andrew Carmellini and NoHo Hospitality Group came together to open this stunning property and with Anne Robinson as head bartender, the menu is anything but ordinary. Signature cocktails include the Sling Sling, a refreshing tiki drink, The Hospitality, a tropical take on a classic old fashioned and The Crusher, a gin-based floral cocktail. Taking inspiration from a variety of worldwide street food the cocktail bar’s menu features dishes such as Lobster Summer Roll, Charred Octopus Skewers, Chicken-Fried Chicken Wings and Duck Carnitas Tacos.

While you’re dining on the chef’s delicacies, enjoy 360-degree views of Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows encircling the central bar and lounge. Above Westlight, you’ll find a 23rd-floor rooftop called Upstairs that offers the highest views of any hotel in Williamsburg with a grassy lawn area and additional lounge seating.

Doors open daily at 4pm, so come enjoy the views in the heart of Williamsburg.
