Weekend Roundup: How Las Vegas Celebrated Memorial Day Weekend

A big holiday weekend in Las Vegas brought out the stars.
On Friday, television heartthrob Brody Jenner returned to Hyde Bellagio, where he was greeted with servers with flashing lights and giant letters spelling out “B-R-O-D-Y.” Jenner spent his night behind the decks, hyping up fans with remixes famous hits by artists like Jay-Z, Drake and Skrillex. Also enjoying the night at Hyde Bellagio with a group of friends was “Vanderpump Rules” star Scheana Marie and new boyfriend, Robert Parks Valletta.
On Sunday, the Memorial Day weekend party at Marquee Dayclub in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas featured Wiz Khalifa, who took in the afternoon from a VIP cabana with his entourage as Deorro and W&W manned the decks. After the dayclub, Khalifa headed to Tao restaurant in the Venetian, where he dined with friends in the private dining room.
At Beauty & Essex in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, hip hop artist Tyga enjoyed dinner before heading to Marquee Nightclub. Across the room, 2 Chainz also fueled up for a night out with a group of friends.

Later that night at Marquee Nightclub, DJ Khaled continued the party into the wee hours of the morning with a blowout performance and a special DJ set. Khaled played a brand-new track from 2 Chainz’s forthcoming album called “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music” that features Travis Scott, prompting 2 Chainz to head to the DJ booth from his table and jump on the mic, hyping up the room. Also in the crowd at separate VIP tables were rappers Tyga and Pusha T.

Saturday at Tao Beach at the Venetian featured DJ Khaled hosting the pool party and pumping out hit after hit as he manned the decks. Taking in Khaled’s set from multiple cabanas were hip hop artists OT Genasis, Fabolous and Pusha T as well as New York Giants player Odell Beckham Jr., Los Angeles Laker Luol Deng and Denver Broncos wide receiver Von Miller. At one point in the afternoon, OT Genasis jumped in the DJ booth with Khaled and took to the mic, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Later that night at Tao Nightclub, French Montana performed for a full house of party-goers. Surprising the crowd, Diddy joined Montana on stage. After performing, the two partied the night away together at a VIP table.
At Marquee Nightclub in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, hip hop artist Gucci Mane took over the night with a blowout performance of his top hits. In the crowd were Odell Beckham Jr. and Von Miller, who partied with their entourage at a VIP table.
At Beauty & Essex in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, “Orange is the New Black” stars Beth Dover and Lea DeLaria enjoyed dinner with friends. The group sipped on cocktails and enjoyed a selection of seafood dishes.

On Friday afternoon, Tao Beach in the Venetian kicked off the holiday weekend with the launch of Playboy Fridays, where cocktail staff donned their best bunny attire and paraded poolside as DJ Ruckus manned the decks. Every Friday through Sept. 1, Playboy will take over the party as beautiful Bunnies roam throughout in their iconic accessories, transforming Tao Beach into a sexy poolside playground.
Later that night, hip hop artist E-40 brought down the house for a packed Tao Nightclub. Taking the stage, he wowed the crowd with a set of his top hits before partying the night away with his entourage from a VIP table.
At Lavo Italian Restaurant in the Palazzo, recording artist J. Cole was spotted having dinner with friends. The group enjoyed the chicken parmesan, one-pound meatball, calamari and more.

Drai’s Beachclub at The Cromwell in Las Vegas kicked off Memorial Day weekend with Future. The “Mask Off” rapper went in on a huge set of some of his most celebrated tracks, including “Low Life,” “Where Ya At,” “F*ck Up Some Commas” and others throughout the night. Hip-hop standout Pusha T was spotted taking in Future’s show from a VIP booth.

On Saturday, the sky-high oasis celebrated the birthday of exclusive resident artist G-Eazy, who treated fans to a thrilling full-concert performance of some of his biggest hits, like “Me, Myself & I,” “Some Kind of Drug,” “I Mean It” and many more. During his set, G was surprised onstage by a bevy of bikini-clad hostesses for a special cake presentation featuring celebrated DJ Dillon Francis, who led the crowd in a special rendition of “Happy Birthday.” The duo closed out the set with a performance of their hit collaboration “Say Less.”

Later that night, newly announced resident artist Lil Wayne took the stage at Drai’s Nightclub for yet another sold-out performance. Revelers danced along late into the night as Weezy commanded the stage for a concert performance of crowd favorites like “A Milli,” “6 Foot 7 Foot,” “Mrs. Officer” and more. Fellow resident artist DJ Franzen opened the show with hip-hop heavy DJ set featuring drum accompaniment by Johnny “Rook” Cappelletty.
Many big names were spotted taking in Wayne’s late-night show, including pop and R&B songstress Christina Millian, who was seen alongside model-actress Karrueche Tran, New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., Drai’s Live resident artist Fabolous, rapper-actress Chanel West Coast, Drai’s resident DJ Destructo, Denver Broncos defensive lineman Louis Leonard, Orlando Magic point guard CJ Watson, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams and tight end Rico Gathers, New Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis, Portland Trailblazers guard Damian Lillard, Washington Wizards shooting guard Kelly Oubre, Detroit Pistons small forward Stanley Johnson, Charlotte Hornets power forward Frank Kaminsky, Dallas Mavericks power forward Nerlens Noel, Green Bay Packers cornerback Damarious Randall, Seattle Seahawks running back Eddie Lacy, LA Rams running back Todd Gurley, and several members of the Arizona Cardinals’ defensive line.

On Sunday night, hip-hop maverick Wiz Khalifa made a truly unforgettable Drai’s Live debut at Drai’s Nightclub. The 10–time Grammy-nominated rapper held nothing back while treating the wall-to-wall sea of partygoers to a thrilling live performance of his impressive catalogue of tracks, including “Black and Yellow,” “We Dem Boyz” and several others. Returning to his regular Sunday night post, DJ Franzen warmed up the crowd with a high-energy set featuring Rook on drums. Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller and Atlanta Falcons tackle Dontari Poe were both spotted enjoying Wiz’s late-night show from their respective VIP tables.
