While there was a lot to do this weekend in Atlanta, true art and jewelry aficionados packed up the venue from Friday to Sunday.  This year was filled with cool competitions and sections, in honor of the 75th anniversary of the American Craft Council.

And even in if you were not interested in the luxury art showcases,  there was a luxury Belvenie Single Malt Scotch Whiskey tasting in a private room.  The Belvenie, which is the only company still making its scotch by hand using centuries-old techniques, is an award-winning single malt Scotch whiskey.  Guests sampled various vintages and watched a screening of the film Raw Craft, starring Anthony Bourdain.

Although this show is nothing new to the city, this year was a paradise for the design and interiors guru with the Make a Room vignettes created by local designers and using furnishings and crafts from designers at at the show.

This year’s theme: “Space in Case: Design through the Decades”. A handful of local interior standouts were chosen to recreate one of the age-old decades to display at the show One of the designers, Laurie Scholl, who owns a fairly new but already coveted antique and design store in Atlanta called The Wish List chose the seventies as her decade. As a big fan of her store and her style, we had the privilege to watch her put the concept together over the past few months but nothing could have prepared us for the finished masterpiece vignette.

Below, you can see the items she incorporated from three designers at the craft show in her seventies vignette which featured large geometrical floral patterns to reflect the decade.
