Inside the Newly Redesigned Penthouse and E-WOW Suites at the W South Beach
The W has always been an iconic landmark on South Beach’s Collins Ave., but the hotel got a bit of a makeover this past December with the multi-million dollar redesign of its penthouse and E-WOW suites — and with rates from $12,000 per night, it’s safe to say these reimagined residences are an upgrade.

The Penthouse and E-WOW suites are the crème de la crème of guest hospitality, and the hotel brought in Anna Busta of Busta Studio, one of the world’s top design firms, to helm the creation of the cool, calming tones and beachy vibes that the Penthouse now exudes and the contemporary colors and textures of the more modern E-WOW Suites.
“We worked closely with Anna Busta to conceptualize the perfect blend of luxury, functionality and timelessness that would accentuate our biggest assets: the breathtaking views, spacious outdoor terraces and luxe amenities,” says Rick Ueno, General Manager of W South Beach.

It shows. The 2,200 square-foot, two-story Penthouse features a spacious and sunny open floor plan with nine-foot, floor-to-ceiling windows and multiple balconies, providing guests with unparalleled views of the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding city scape. Amidst the organic hues of ivory, beige and taupe that foster the soothing energy of the living area are one-of-a-kind feature furnishings, like a Bang & Olufsen smart television valued at $50,000 and a unique art collection that was specially-curated by famed art collector Aby Rosen. But the crown jewel of the lavish residence has to be its second-story rooftop, where a private plunge pool sits aside a white-cushioned, outdoor living and dining area accented with beachy driftwood and flower-embellished vines.

Complementary to the sandy tones and breezy linens of the elegant Penthouse is the edgier, more contemporary E-WOW Suite, which features a monochromatic color scheme contrasted with dark hardwood floors and accents of black marble, glass and white lacquer. The 2,960 square-foot space boasts three bedrooms and bathrooms, plus an oversized joined living and dining room, where an extensive art book collection fills the shelve-lined walls and a custom $80,000 sectional sofa, modern leather lounge chairs, and a stunning chalk-white dining table furnish the spacious area.
