Cocktail of the Week: Green Bloody Mary
When Pantone announced its “Color of the Year” for 2017, called “greenery,” we started seeing the tangy yellow-green spring-like shade in everything from sunglasses to bikinis. Now there’s a drink that pays homage to the Pantone pick–a green Bloody Mary–on offer at Kingsley (190 Avenue B, NYC, 212-674-4500, ). Aside from being named Zagat’s 2016 Best New Restaurant, Kingsley has been earning kudos for its no-holds-“barred” Bloody Mary Bar. For her Green Bloody Mary ($14) Executive Chef and owner Roxanne Spruance replaces the traidtional tomato juice with green tomatoes. She adds in some green pepper, parsley, jalapeno and cilantro for a serious and scrumptious green machine. Choose between vodka or tequila and you’re all set for an on-trend and colorful brunch.
