Weekend Roundup: 37th Annual Atlanta Ballet Winter Ball Shines Bright

Haute Scene, News | February 21, 2017

Each year, the Annual Atlanta Ballet Winter Ball is the most prestigious black-tie gala in the city. This year was no exception. On Saturday February 18, 2017, the 37th Annual Atlanta Ballet Winter Ball was held at Flourish Buckhead. This year’s co-chairs, Jada Loveless, in a sleek Michael Kors gown, and Joanne Chesler Gross, ravishing in a Roberto Cavalli dress helped to make sure this year was a huge success.

The evening was flawlessly catered by A Legendary event,  and guests enjoyed an elegant three-course meal paired with wines donated from Chris Carlos’ Republic National Distributing Company. Other patron sponsors included Brunello Cucinelli.

One of the main highlights of the evening, however, was honoring Mr. and  Mrs. Carlos.  Chris and Nicole Carlos , chosen as the honorees this year,  were celebrated with a standing ovation for their many contributions to the Atlanta Ballet. They also received a bronze “4th Position” statue created by Tina Stern, a former Atlanta Ballet dancer. This, of course, caused a thunderous applause and set a great tone for the rest of the evening which featured a Laurent-Perrier Bubble Bar along with performances from Snow White and Vespertine, one of the works featured in Atlanta Ballet’s March program, Gennadi’s Choice. The fabulous evening.concluded with dancing to the sounds of Band X at the after-party.
