Weekend Roundup in Las Vegas: Brandon Marshall, Chinese New Year, D.R.A.M. and Halfway To EDC
Las Vegas kept pretty quiet ahead of Super Bowl weekend, bringing a football great to town, kicking off Chinese New Year, showcasing a first-time performance by D.R.A.M. and announcing the halfway to EDC acts coming to town over President’s Day weekend.
Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall took his time off from the NFL to head to Absinthe, the irreverent show at Caesars Palace.
Fashion Show, the mall on the north end of Las Vegas Boulevard, welcomed Chinese New Year with a special opening ceremony and ribbon cutting affair on Friday night. A performance by Sichuan Song and Dance Theater Co. kicked off the festivities that included a runway show by Saks Fifth Ave with dazzling delights in red and gold and a lion dance.

Rapper D.R.A.M. made his Drai’s Live debut at The Cromwell on Saturday night with a full concert that included his hits such as “Cha Cha” and “Cash Machine.” Fans were showered with pretend dollar bills featuring the artist’s face during that last song. D.R.A.M. even performed his hit collaboration with Lil Yachty, “Broccoli.”
