If you want to surf in style this summer, look to Saint Laurent for sartorial inspiration. The iconic French brand has designed surfboards that blend its signature ‘je ne sais quoi’ with some serious California cool. In fact, the boards were designed right here at home in Los Angeles and manufactured in nearby Costa Mesa by Tanner Prairie, a shaper known for its original old school longboards. These sweet rides, created as part of the brand’s Surf Sound collection, are made of EPS foam, resin and fiberglass in a seasonal baby pattern designed by artist Lucia Santini Ribisi, an underage explorer from the City of Angels, and the leopard look featured here. Both boards are sold with a Saint Laurent black travel case to protect from heat and sun. The fact that these limited edition pieces are specifically sold at the Rodeo Drive flagship is fitting: where else but Los Angeles could surf and style join forces so superbly?
