4 Ways To Impress Mom This Mother’s Day
When you want to impress mom, just go straight to the top. Here’s how we do it in the Magic City.
Mother’s Day Asado at Los Fuegos
The Mother’s Day Asado at Los Fuegos won’t just be a day at the chic new Faena hotel, it will be a meal to remember. Los Fuegos’ Francis Mallmann is one of South America’s most celebrated chefs, and also known internationally for his passion for cooking over an open flame. Knowing this, it stands to reason that the chef’s Mother’s Day offering would be an asado style bar-b-que. Alongside things like Hanging Chicken, Ojo de Bife and Wild Salmon, great dishes will be served such as empanadas, Pink Grapefruit Salad and Chilled Tomato Soup, as well as a range of delectable desserts. The menu captures the rich spirit of South American cooking while promising a unique meal and lively atmosphere complete with live music for $95 per person and $35 for children.
Day on the Water
From a 54′ Searay Sundancer to a 103′ Johnson, Y Charter has discounted Mother’s Day rates for bookings between May 6th and May 9th. Different boats take off from different ports of call, so there is bound to be one close to you. Our favorite (and a Goldilocks option if we do say so ourselves) is the is 84′ Lazzara for $6,500 for eight hours. In addition to a luxe living room and crew of two, this chic yacht also comes with a Jet Ski, inflatable toys and snorkel gear for fun in the water. Y Yacht Charter | 300 Alton Road.
Caviar Russe
With only 35 seats, this recently opened gourmet restaurant at the Four Seasons in Brickell is certainly one of the most exclusive in town. Chef David Valencia’s special 3-course Prix Fixe menu for $95 a person goes heavy on the caviar and includes a signature mimosa or Bellini. We think the menu speaks for itself.
