Haute Time Celebrates Carmelo Anthony’s Birthday at Socialista

Haute Time, in collaboration with Lala Anthony, hosted a very Melo celebration in honor of Carmelo Anthony’s birthday on Saturday, May 28. The star-studded night took place at the brand new Cipriani club, Socialista, in New York City. As a debut dinner for the new venue, which was opened by Maggio Cipriani, 35 haute attendees gathered for an intimate birthday fete.

Socialista curated an incredible menu with welcome cocktails by Tanqueray Gin to compliment the series of events that would ensue. Starters included lightly fried shrimp served with spicy mayonnaise, a middle course of risotto primavera and main course offerings like a grilled Branzino with broccoli rabe. All of which was concluded with a delicious vanilla merengue birthday cake.

The night would have been incomplete without three very special gifts for the NBA superstar. On top of a wonderful live performance by Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Maxwell, Carmelo also received a custom bottle from Don Julio 1942 engraved with his number seven jersey, birthday wishes, and a unique commissioned artwork from famed artist Bradley Theodore.

In true haute fashion, the night did not end there. An after-party persisted with a special celebration at New York hotspot Provacateur. The nightclub’s walls were lined with childhood pictures of Carmelo. It was the perfect backdrop for what was truly an unforgettable birthday celebration.
