Haute Scene: Drew Barrymore, Gwyneth Paltrow & More Attend The Ultimate ‘Power Trip’

On Monday, March 21^st, Marie Claire’s editor-in-chief Anne Fulenwider hosted a 36-hour long summit known as The Power Trip.

Marie Claire chartered a plane powered JetBlue from New York City straight to San Francisco, where the most powerful women in tech, media, fashion, entertainment and policy converged at the W San Francisco Hotel for an unrivaled networking event before heading back to New York City on March 22.

Those who attended included Drew Barrymore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyra Banks, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jill Furman (Hamilton Producer), Jennifer Hyman (CEO of Rent the Runway), Payal Kadakia (founder of ClassPass), Lindsay Shookus (executive producer of SNL), Moj Mahdara (CEO of Beautycon), Bethany Mota (YouTube Star), and Lauren Bush Lauren.

The summit consisted of four panels including every woman a boss, a brand, a feminist and a disruptor. Attendees enjoyed drinks Monday night at the house of Xochi Birch, co-founder of Bebo and The Battery, and were then whisked away to dinner prepared at William Sonoma by award-winning female chefs, including San Francisco’s own Dominique Crenn.
