Haute Cuisine | February 6, 2016

Super Bowl 50 is finally here! And whether you’re rooting for the Broncos or the Panthers, you’ll need somewhere Miami-fabulous to watch it. Here’s our list of haute locales where you can enjoy the big game:

American Social Brickell: If watching Super Bowl 50 at a sports bar is up your alley, head to American Social Brickell – where you’ll get an upscale sports bar, 26 HD TV’s, beautiful people-watching, drink deals, signature AMSO burgers, fries smothered in cheddar cheese and bacon, and more. Reserve a table inside or out – right on the water – and you’ll get $100 bottles of Moet, $8 Absolut cocktails, $7 Jameson and Patron drinks, $15 domestic buckets, $18 import buckets, and craft beers on special. American Social Brickell is located at 690 SW 1st Court. Reservations strongly recommended, and can be made by calling (305) 223-7004.

BASEMENT at The Miami Beach EDITION: Watch some football in true, South Beach style at The Miami Beach EDITION – where BASEMENT will host a Super Bowl 50 watch party with four TV screens, a full bar, and food and drink specials all night long. Whether you win or lose, hit the lounge’s bowling alley or ice skating rink, and starting at 10 PM, dance the night away to the beats of DJ ATG and DJ Legato. The Miami Beach EDITION is located at 2901 Collins Avenue. Doors will be open from 5 PM to 5 AM. Must be 21+ years of age.

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila: For a real fiesta, celebrate Super Bowl 50 at this tiny taco-stand-turned-chic-lounge. There will be a halftime DJ, food and drink deals, surprise giveaways, and most importantly, a drink funnel that starts at the mezzanine and goes all the way down to the bottom floor. Bodega Taqueria y Tequila is located at 1220 16th Street. For more information, call (305) 704-2145.

Sunset Lounge: Get a Super Bowl watch party with a view at Mondrian South Beach, where the hotel’s enchanting indoor-outdoor Sunset Lounge will put the game on a giant projector. When the plays are too close for comfort, look out at the bay, sip on haute cocktail specials, munch on bites from Executive Chef Dustin Atoigue’s special tailgate menu, and take in all that is the good life at Sunset Lounge. Mondrian South Beach is located at1100 West Avenue. For more information, call (305) 514-1500.

The Gale Rooftop: Head to The Gale Rooftop, above South Beach’s The Gale Hotel, for a Super Bowl 50 party hosted by none other than Rec Room and Jet Smarter – a mobile marketplace for private jet charters. Amidst a backdrop of beautiful Miami Beach, partygoers can watch the game on a large projector screen, get a drink (or five) from the open bar, and nosh on bites by Dolce Italian. The Gale Hotel is located at 1690 Collins Avenue. Tickets for the party are $50 each and can be purchased here.

STK Miami: Known as the Magic City’s sexiest steakhouse, STK Miami is where you go when you want to dress (and eat) to impress. This Sunday, groups of ten or more football fans can make a reservation and watch the big game from their own private suite. To really celebrate the day, the suite will come decked with large TV’s, a magnum liquor bottle, and your choice of food – like the locale’s famous Wagyu beef “Lil Brgs” sliders, crispy lobster tails, oyster platters, sliced 24-ounce Porterhouse steak and more. STK Miami is located at 2311 Collins Avenue. Reservations are required, and can be made by calling (305) 604-6988.

Thompson Miami Beach: Party the day away at the Thompson Miami Beach’s “Super Sunday” swim party. Starting at 4 PM, this Super Bowl soirée will have live entertainment, a la carte food and drink specials, and the big game playing in both the 1930’s House and on an inflatable, poolside screen. For $40, guests can get all-you-can-drink draft beers, fries, and their choice of a burger, chicken sandwich or a dozen wings. And for the most stylish celebration, reserve a cabana with a 24-pack of Bud or Bud Light and 50 chicken wings for $300; or a bungalow with a 24-pack, champagne, a fruit platter, 100 wings, and a dozen bottles of water for $1,000. The Thompson Miami Beach is located at 4041 Collins Avenue.
