Haute 100 lister Dwyane Wade has teamed up with luxury consignment e-commerce site The RealReal to launch an exclusive sale. Items from the sale includes pieces by Tom Ford, Gucci, Etro, Prada, and Dolce & Gabbana. The best part is that proceeds go to Wade’s charity, the Wade’s World Foundation, which promotes health, education and social skills for children in at-risk situations.

WWF was created as a way for the NBA player to give back to underserved communities and support issues of purpose. “I can’t just let basketball define who I am and what I am supposed to become,” Wade said. “Like my mother always tells me, ‘[My life] is bigger than basketball.’”

In 2007, the Miami Heat shooting guard appointed his sister Tragil Wade as Wade’s World Foundation’s executive director. Since being appointed as executive director of the organization, Tragil has since found an abundance of success in running the foundation. In her first five years at the helm of the foundation, WWF has raised $3.2 million dollars while implementing new programming and also expanding it’s global reach through outreach. WWF is dedicated to its vision of empowering underserved core communities of Chicago, Milwaukee, and the South Florida areas.

The sale commences today, Feb. 8th and will continue through Friday, Feb. 12th. Seventy percent of the will go to his charity. There are more than 100 items currently on sale. This is the third charity sale he has done with The RealReal. The consignment site’s Miami luxury manager worked with the basketball star as well as his stylist to get his luxury items to the company.

For those of you unfamiliar with the consignment site, The RealReal sells pre-owned and authenticated luxury items including men’s and women’s luxury fashion, fine jewelry & watches and fine art. All items received are inspected by a team of in-house experts including gemologists, horologists, art appraisers and luxury connoisseurs. Consignors are able to track their sales from a personal online dashboard.
