Emporio Armani to Toast Rodeo Drive Store with Blowout Bash
The Armani Group is making sure that the opening of its new Emporio Armani boutique on Rodeo Drive is one for the history books.
To celebrate its new location of 338 Rodeo Drive on Beverly Hills’ most famous shopping street, the Italian luxury brand is planning on hosting an exclusive private concert with Brandon Flowers of The Killers and DJ Mark Ronson on Feb. 11.
The music-centric bash coincides nicely with the 2016 Grammy Awards, which take place in Los Angeles on Feb. 15. It’s also a perfect tie-in for the brand, who has been focusing on a music-fashion crossover with its new Emporio Armani Sounds app, which combines the fashion world with music on Spotify.
Thus far, the Emporio Armani Sounds initiative has been showcased around the globe in major cities with big-name, cool-kid acts like Roisin Murphy, Klaxons, La Roux, Lion Babe and Charli XCX.
The event, which takes place at the Neuehouse space on Sunset Blvd., is, of course, a celebration for the brand’s new Beverly Hills outpost. It’s fitting that Armani would throw such a VIP affair for the Rodeo Drive boutique, especially considering that Giorgio Armani was the very first recipient of the feted Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award back in 2003.
For those who haven’t yet visited the new store (it officially opened its doors on Jan. 15, expect to find an elaborate affair clocking in at 5,900 square feet over two floors that is connected by a stainless steel and stone staircase. It’s a modern and sleek affair thanks to silk rugs and fabrics in cool shades of grey and metallic black. Its exterior features a facade of marmorino as well as fully transparent glass that contains metallic blades.
The boutique will feature Emporio Armani’s ready-to-wear and accessory collections for both men and women.
