“The only word Liz knows in Italian is Bulgari,” said Richard Burton about Elizabeth Taylor.
Since my childhood I have associated word “Bulgari” with the famous actress and her love affair with Italian jewelry house. I always admired Elizabeth Taylor’s taste in fine jewelry and her iconic pieces.
When you think of Bulgari, you think of master pieces of colorful gemstones, eye-grabbing watches, leather goods…everything has is the true art of glamour.
Fine jewelry connoisseur Ivan Bekichev invited me to visit the fabulous San Francisco Bulgari boutique, here he demonstrated his knowledge of luxury and sparkling adornments. And with the holidays just around the corner, the timing was perfect.

The new director of San Francisco store, Jennifer Mancuso, welcomed guests with the sparkling smile while walking them among the precious stones collections.
On this night, Bulgari introduced their “B. Cocktail Ring Program,” which allows clients to explore unusual color combinations with gemstones in beautifully crafted settings, accented with diamonds.
The fun part was the opportunity to create your own ring by selecting from over 100 ring combinations, including three different setting styles (available in white, yellow and pink gold with diamonds), paired with client’s choice of a color gemstone (turquoise, mother of pearl, or pink opal) to coat the band. For the center stone, clients had the choice of large cabochon or faceted cut Peridot, Blue Topaz, Amethyst, Rubellite or Pink Tourmaline.
