Let’s be honest: there’s no such thing as too much Mediterranean food. So when Miami introduces a new concept —  restaurateur Burt Rapoport and star chef David Blonsky’s Apeiro Kitchen & Bar, a rustic yet progressive Mediterranean cookery — and lands it in a hotspot locale like Midtown, it makes sense that it would be all the rage.

Named for the Greek word for “infinite,” Apeiro boasts an inspired menu of flavors from Morocco, Italy, France, Spain and more. Offering a range of sharing plates designed to create the perfect social setting with family and friends, this must-try Mediterranean spot has everything from their signature Apeiro Spread with wood-oven baked pita served with hummus, eggplant caponata and pistachio yogurt; and Moroccan-Spiced Lamb Ribs with rosemary-fig BBQ sauce; to Bacon-Wrapped Dates with sofrito sauce, manchego cheese and chorizo; and Buñuelo, a tasty puffed pastry with stracchino cheese and truffle honey. Pair it all with a Poached Fig Margarita, a mix of reposado tequila, Pedro-Ximenez poached fig preserve and fresh lime juice; follow up with a Sweet Potato Bomboloni with miniature syringes of chocolate Nutella, salted caramel and strawberry-basil sauces; and call it a (happy) day.

And for those who can’t get enough in house, the restaurant is hosting a special pop-up location tonight, during the Miami Heat vs. Toronto Raptors basketball game at the American Airlines Arena. Open to season ticket holders with access to the Flagship Lounge, this one-night-only dining experience promises eager basketball fans two reasons to come the game: to see the Heat win (obviously), and now, for a taste of the fiery-delicious Apeiro Kitchen & Bar.
