1 Hotel & Homes will be offering more than just parties and art showings during the 2015 Art Basel week. Visitors and guests will be able to enjoy several fitness and wellness programs specifically made for the week that will make them try something new, help them push themselves a little or simply have them connect with nature before heading into the madness that is Basel.
RETREAT, a private beach oasis for you mind, body and soul will be taking place on Nov. 30 to Dec. 6. It will include various fit activities from Yoga, Pilates, Soul Cycle to meditation and much more. All activities are designed to help guest refresh, recharge and restart.
REFUGE, an exhibit of five outdoor installations presented by Architectural Digest, on Dec. 2-6 at The Beach Club curated by Camille Obering. It will feature artwork by Hilary Harnischfeger, Robert Lazzarini, Phillippe Malouin, Michele Oka Doner and Carlos Rolón/Dzine.
London artist Zeus will show some of his work at The 1 Rooftop from Dec. 1-4 during the CANVAS Art event. His work has been described as 3D graffiti, and has been shown at the Victoria & Albert museum. Daniel Mazzone described as the next Andy Warhol will be showing his contemporary Pop Art works at the Terra Gallery on the property on Dec.1-5.
ETHIKAL is an “all-good” market that will be in the Lobby on Dec. 1-5 featuring brands like Maiyet, Accompany, Victorian and AUrate. And to spice things up on Dec. 3 Victorian will be having a body painting event.
On Dec. 4 there will be two dance parties on the private beach one in the morning to inaugurate Art Basel and another in the evening to close out the day with global legend, Guy Gerber. If that’s not enough to tire you out there will be rooftop parties on Dec. 4 with DJ Armand Van Helden and DJ duo Chromeo spinning music on night long on Dec. 5. Or FACE VALUE presented by Sotheby’s on Dec. 3-4 in the Pop-up lounge. The party will take place inside an installation where your value is the size of the room.
