2016 Welcomes Cipriani Dubai
The time has finally come. Bellinis, tagliarelle a pesto, and homemade lobster ravioli of the highest quality can now be had in Dubai. The up and coming culinary hotspot has been attracting luxury restaurant chains from around the world. It’s about time the internationally recognized Cipriani opened in Dubai.
If you weren’t already excited for 2016, now you have a tangibly delicious reason. During the first quarter of the year Cipriani Dubai is expected to open in the city’s booming Dubai International Financial Center. It will be the Italian restaurant’s second outpost in the Middle East, following their haute Yas Marina Abu Dhabi location.
It all started over 80 years ago when a humble bartender by the name of Giuseppe Cipriani loaned a small sum to a customer cut off from his family fortune. This customer was Harry Pickering, who then repaid Cipriani’s generosity with the creation of Harry’s Bar in 1931. Harry’s Bar became a hotspot for celebrities and foodies alike. It has now turned into an iconic Italian institution with successful locations worldwide.
The newest Cipriani will hold many of the traditions the brand holds so dear, with exciting new elements in the mix. The new Dubai restaurant will be a grand venue with simple luxury. IT will boast two levels designed by Florentine architect Michele Bonan. Think floor-to-ceiling curtains, striped marble Venetian flooring and a Murano chandelier. All in an open 1100 square foot venue for 296 guests. While the décor may be an innovative take on their classic style, this Cipriani will still serve the same amazing menu we all love. You can expect all of your favorite staples like Carpaccio alla Cipriani, Baked Tagliolini, and the delectably delicious Vanilla Meringue.
“I am extremely excited about this new project. I’m looking forward to bringing our tradition of service, warm atmosphere and classic Cipriani cuisine to this eclectic, vibrant and culturally diverse city,” explains hospitality tycoon Giuseppe Cipriani, who knows luxury lies in simplicity.
