Iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach Celebrates 100 Years of Sinatra
On December 12th, 2015, the legendary Frank Sinatra would have turned 100; and to celebrate, the Fontainebleau Miami Beach – where Sinatra once stayed – has come up with a 100-day restaurant program, ending on his centennial birthday, of star-worthy events. From nightly toasts of Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select whiskey at Bleau Bar and themed Sinatra desserts at Chez Bon Bon, to Sunday “Brunch with Frank” and 1950’s-inspired prix-fixe dinners at Scarpetta, StripSteak by Michael Mina and Michael Mina 74, this celebration promises to give guests the world on a string.
And to lock in the birthday festivities, this Wednesday, Sinatra- and food-lovers alike are invited to come fly with the Fontainebleau at StripSteak by Michael Mina, as the famed chef himself hosts a five-course whiskey-pairing dinner of some of “Old Blue Eyes’” favorite food and drink. Joined by Whiskey Brand Champion, Michael J. Ring. Ring – a Certified Spirits Specialist, a member of the United States Bartenders Guild, Sommeliers Guild, and the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America, and a man who has toured over 45 distilleries in North America and abroad throughout his 12 years of experience – the incomparable Chef Michael Mina promises an encore-worthy dinner that will have you singing “Luck Be A Lady” in no time.
This StripSteak by Michael Mina dinner with Chef Michael Mina will take place this Wednesday, November 11th, at 8 PM, and costs $85 a person. Another dinner will follow at Scarpetta, with Chef Scott Conant, on Tuesday, December 1st at 8 PM. Reservations for both are required.
