French toast makes brunch worth eating as far as we’re concerned. When it’s perfectly made it consists of thick, fluffy slices of bread with a thin, crispy crust that crumbles into a silky, sweet interior and is finished with plenty of oozing butter and creative toppings. Not every kitchen hits the mark but there are a few golden spots in Dallas and Fort Worth that do it well. It’s heaven on a plate, whether it’s breakfast, brunch, or something else.
