Celebs Glitter As La Mer Celebrates 50 Years in LA

Some of the biggest names in Hollywood stepped out on Tuesday night to honor luxury beauty brand La Mer’s 50th anniversary at its “Celebration of an Icon” event at Siren Studios in LA.
The A-list guest list included Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Chrissy Teigen, Nicole Richie, Kelly Rohrbach, Erin Wasson, Abigail Spencer, and Derek Blasberg, Nacho Figueras, Delfina Blaquier, Rachel Roy and Winter Ave Zoli, among others.
Co-hosted by Estee Lauder Companies Inc. President, John Demsey, Crystal Lourd, Jamie Tisch and Quinn Ezralow, La Mer transformed the 26,000 sq. ft. studio space into a highly immersive special event. The world’s largest Crème de la Mer jar—created for the premiere of the short film The Dr. Max Huber Story—transported guests into the magical world of the scientist.
Acclaimed Los Angeles artists and musicians treated guests to special performances within sea-inspired installations while The String Theory, a hybrid performance art ensemble that combines a signature architectural harp installation and original music, performed against a giant backdrop of the digitally re-created ocean.
Mesmerizing mermaids
The crowd enjoyed a performance by The Atomics, of whom includes model Lucky Blue Smith, Pyper America, Daisy Clementine and Queen Starlie, who brought their California surf rock sound to guests with their new single, Too Late, as well as a special rendition of the Safari’s classic song, Wipe Out; celebrity DJ, Zen Freeman was also on hand to spin his favoirte mix of ocean-inspired tracks.
