Dallas: Haute Wednesday Nights at Candleroom

Dallas nightclubs often times have very short life spans so when one is still going strong twelve years after its opening it’s got to be a pretty amazing place. Candleroom fits that description perfectly.

Candlelight has been keeping Dallas nightlife interesting since it opened in 2003. For twelve years Dallasites have been heading down to Lower Greenville Avenue to see, to be seen, and to socialize with the movers, shakers, and moneymakers. This sophisticated venue owns 3,000 square feet of the highly desirable Henderson Avenue Entertainment District and it makes excellent use of the space. State of the art audio, video, and lighting systems keep things moving until closing time.  The DJs spin quite a blend of music, too. Current chart hits, hip-hop, house, EDM, dance — it’s all right here.

Although it’s open from 9 pm to 2 am Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, oddly enough the best night to go is smack in the middle of the week. Wednesday is the night that has the most going on — lots of people and noise. It is also ladies night so unless men are on the A list or accompanying a lady. Plus it’s the prime night to run into a celebrity or sports star. Although hours are from 9 pm until 2 am it’s pretty quiet until closer to 11 pm. Oh, and don’t plan on sitting down unless you’ve purchased bottle service. No big, you’ll want to be on the dance floor anyway.

Keep in mind that Candleroom is a private venue and not open to the general public. Only members, guests with a preferred referral or RSVP are allowed inside. You can be referred by one of the local upscale hotels or restaurants, by a current member, or by a chance meeting with one of the staff.  It doesn’t hurt to be female, gorgeous, and show up on a Wednesday night.

The decor is sultry, with red and chocolate tones, dim lighting, and soft textures. It’s exactly the kind of place magic happens on a regular basis. Sit back and sip on a Peach Heat. What’s that, you ask? Only the most amazing concoction of Patron Silver, Grand Marnier Peach Raspberry, lime juice, jalapeno agave nectar, and habanero bitters every created. Sweet, tangy, spicy, and it packs a punch so be sure you have a designated driver.

The venue is also available for corporate functions, private events, weddings, and anything else you can think of for up to 350 people. Their event team can handle everything from the menu to the flowers and create the party of your dreams.
