San Francisco’s tony Pacific Heights neighborhood may be best known for its notable residents, mansions on Billionaire’s Row, Victorian homes and scenic views, but from Thursday, Sept. 17 to Sunday, Sept. 20, there’s another reason to check out this affluent area:  the Pacific Heights Wine and Food Festival. This exclusive culinary and sensory experience offers an opportunity to experience the season through the work of an internationally recognized assembly of winemakers, chefs, authors and designers, while enjoying all this vibrant setting has to offer.

Building on the success of the 2014 Fillmore Wine and Food Festival, this multi-event weekend benefiting the Hearing and Speech Center includes celebrity chefs, lively food pairing classes, wine tasting, James Beard recognized fine dining and exclusive fashion shows.

VIP Reception with SPQR’s Matthew Accarrino
San Francisco’s Elizabeth Colton hosts a private reception for the festival’s stars while famed Michelin-starred SPQR’s Chef Matthew Accarrino, a Food & Wine “Best New Chef” in 2014, crafts the evening’s tastes. Mingle with participating celebrity chefs, James Beard winners, media, VIPs, and winemakers while enjoying Ousterhout Wines.

Friday, September 18, 2015 • 6-8 pm
Spice and Wine at Spice Ace with Chef Andrew Green of Troya
Take a sweet and savory spice adventure guided by Deborah Parker Wong, AIWS. Deborah is the Northern California editor for The Tasting Panel magazine and Senior Industry Editor for SOMM Journal. Five dishes have been carefully created by Troya’s Chef Andrew Greene to complement the wines.

James Beard Winners and Celebrity Chefs Dinner
$350 • Group Limit: 60 guests
Join five James Beard House chefs and five award-winning winemakers for this spectacular 6-course dinner at the remarkable Haas-Lilienthal mansion in Pacific Heights. The event begins with a wine tasting led by Jeff Owens from Odette Winery, the youngest winemaker in history to receive 100 points on his first vintage! Patrons are then escorted into the ballroom for an incredible dinner, with tables designed by Jonathan Adler, where each chef takes them on a personal journey of their cuisine at each course. The Master sommelier for the event, Rajat Parr, formerly of the Mina Group and a two-time winner of the James Beard Award for Outstanding Beer, Wine, or Spirits professional, will lead the wine pairing with award-winning winemakers. Chefs include celebrity “Top Chef” Otto Borsich, two-time James Beard winner Guillermo Pernot, famed chef Felicia Suzanne from Memphis, and Alejandro Ayala from Meadowood.

Enjoy an afternoon of high tea, champagne, and fashion show with local designers and boutiques at this intimate event in the heart of Pacific Heights.

Funds raised by the Pacific Heights Wine and Food Festival will benefit the Hearing and Speech Center. As a Bay Area pioneer in comprehensive hearing health, the Hearing and Speech Center changes the lives of thousands of children, adults and seniors every year. For almost a century they have provided a model of service that brings empathy, integrity and expertise to all who come in need of hearing healthcare, regardless of their ability to pay.
