Gus Van Sant Directs Matthew McConaughey in New Lincoln Commercial

Following the runaway success of Lincoln‘s collaboration with Matthew McConaughey, the automaker and Oscar winner have teamed up once again—this time bringing even more star power to a new campaign.

Good Will Hunting and Milk director Gus Van Sant directs McConaughey driving the new Lincoln MKX in a series of brand new advertisements. The campaign (shot exclusively in Malibu) will debut this weekend during College Football broadcasts on ABC and NBC.

Additionally, the collaboration between Lincoln and McConaughey extends well beyond the campaign. Lincoln will donate to his just keep livin Foundation through Driven to Give charity test-drive events at Lincoln dealers this year.

The previous campaign, directed by Drive director Nicholas Winding Refn, boosted sales of Lincoln’s MKC crossover by 25 percent.
