Get a Taste of Brooklyn in Miami at Momo Sushi Shack
Now everyone can get a little taste of Brooklyn here right here in Miami. From July through October, Momo Sushi Shack, a trendy Japanese restaurant originally curated for Bushwick natives and New York foodies, is hosting a pop-up restaurant at the Sunset Lounge at the Mondrian Hotel.
Momo Sushi Shack is known for it’s long savory list of artfully created sushi, vegetarian and vegan selections, and their heirloom ingredients. Momo Sushi Shack, or Momo for short, creates a farm to table style of Japanese cuisine, with 1/3 of their entire menu being vegan.
The Brooklyn-based restaurant is collaborating with executive chef of the Mondrian, Dustin Atiogue, to create a delectable menu that incorporates some of South Florida’s signature flavors. “Working with Executive Chef Dustin Atiogue has been great. We have a pretty large selection of sushi at Momo Sushi Shack, and a lot of daily specials incorporated with a lot of signature dishes. So we worked on choosing things that we thought would do well in Miami, as well as staying true to our concept,” Phillip Gilmour, the co-owner Momo Sushi Shack, said in an interview.
The Bushwick location is known to bring patrons from Long Island, N.Y. and even residents from New Jersey as well as international customers. So we know the Miami location is sure to bring all you foodies out there, that are looking for the mix of urban and hipster with a little flare of lux, exactly what you have been craving. But instead back-dropped by the beautiful Biscayne Bay.
Fortunately, the love will be returned because Momo loves their locals too! That’s probably why the celebrated menu won so much success back in New York, so much so that the dining concept was also part of the Michelin Guide’s recommended for Bushwick.
Momo Sushi is open Sunday through Thursday for dinner 5 pm – 11 pm and Friday through Saturday 5 pm – 1 am
