The Savoy’s Beaufort Bar Wins Best International Hotel Bar

The Savoy’s Beaufort Bar has won the coveted Best International Hotel Bar category at Tales of the Cocktail 2015. Following the largest nomination pool in the history of the show and a rigorous judging process by some of the most respected minds in the cocktail industry, this is a fantastic achievement for head bartender Chris Moore and the Beaufort Bar’s hard-working and highly creative team, and for The Savoy as a whole. The Beaufort Bar was nominated for Best International Bar alongside the hotel’s American Bar, a first for these awards. The Beaufort Bar also made it into the top 4 for World’s Best Cocktail Menu with their stunning pop-up menu, whilst the American Bar were recognised for their world-class bartenders in being nominated for Best International Bar Team. The Savoy attended the awards ceremony on Saturday 18th July in New Orleans where the Beaufort Bar team received a Riedel crystal trophy.

Since 2007, the Spirited Awards have recognised the year’s best bars, bartenders, writers and experts, becoming the industry’s most prestigious and coveted award. Finalists and winners were voted on by a panel of more than 100 industry experts and led by Simon Ford (Chairman), Jackson Cannon (U.S. Judging Committee Chairman), Jacob Briars (International Judging Committee Chairman), and David Wondrich (Writing Committee Chairman). Voting was a weeklong process that required extensive knowledge in each category. The votes were checked by the Super Committee and tallied to determine the finalists and ultimately the winners.
