We’re just days away from the start of the 10th landmark season of Napa Valley Festival del Sole, the annual 10-day cultural festival that epitomizes the heart of California’s celebrated wine region.The premier event kicks off Friday, July 17 and runs through Sunday, July 26 throughout the Valley. Concerts, patron dinners, fashion shows and lots more are on tap, but the highlight will be the Annual Festival Gala at Meadowood, which takes place July 19 at the posh resort. The celebration, Hollywood & Vine, will be reminiscent of the glittering nightclub scene of Hollywood’s Golden Era, featuring the multi-talented Kevin Spacey singing standards from the swing era and popular classics from the Great American Songbook. The glitzy evening will culminate in a high-energy live auction featuring a dozen exclusive luxury lots. Proceeds from the auction make possible the festival’s free and low-cost concert opportunities for local residents, as well as grants to bolster Napa County public school arts education initiatives and Napa Valley Youth Symphony scholarships.
