Miami: New 9beach Fusion Kitchen & Lounge Bar is Sizzling
This past Friday, Israel’s wildly popular 9beach craze finally landed on US soil — and on sensational South Beach, at that. The brainchild of entrepreneur and restauranteur Itay Sacish, of 9beach Group, 9Beach Fusion Kitchen & Lounge Bar now brings its trendy, laid-back vibes to one of Collins Avenue’s most popular haunts — and with it, a new entertainment concept never-before-seen in sunny South Florida.
With its vibrant sunset-inspired lighting, bold decor and perfect location on 16th and Collins, just across the street from the ever-popular Loews Miami Beach Hotel, 9beach Fusion Kitchen & Lounge Bar is a force to be reckoned with. Joining a family of ten other restaurants in Israel and London, this new 3,300-square-foot restaurant and 5,000-square-foot outdoor lounge is a testament to both Eastern and Western world cultures. With its grand chandeliers, ornate lion heads, hand-carved angels, and white and gold wood wall carvings — intricately handcrafted by a 300-person team in India, which took a total 700 hours — 9beach Miami exudes sophistication and elegance, with a slight Mediterranean flair. However, its black leather paneling, bathroom guitars, indoor-outdoor DJ booths, and walls and tables covered in lyrics by Jimi Hendrix, Muse, Coldplay and more cements its edgy feel; adding a much-needed breath of fresh air to South Beach’s often repeated, tourist-centric spots.
And unlike those predominantly-tourist locales, Miami’s 9beach Fusion Kitchen & Lounge Bar brings with it the talented Tal Aboav, the brand’s Executive Chef from its original 2001 Tel Aviv location. Joining the 9beach craze from NYC’s popular Balaboosta restaurant, his inventive menu of Mediterranean-inspired cuisine — like his cherry vinaigrette-covered skirt steak, shrimp-and-mussel-stuffed branzino, and braised beef tortellini appetizer with scallops, spinach purée and a sunny-side-up quail egg — promises only the freshest ingredients. Of course, it just wouldn’t be a lounge without some delectable drinks; so choose from a menu of carefully crafted cocktail favorites, like raspberry Ginger Collins, dill cucumber martinis, mango whiskey sours and coco nib old fashioned’s.
All are guaranteed to keep your palate sizzling with delight.
9beach Fusion Kitchen & Lounge Bar is located at 1628 Collins Avenue. Open seven days a week, it serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night bites.
