Inaugural Silicon Valley Wine Auction Raises Over $600K

Cheers to the Silicon Valley Wine Auction, which raised an impressive $600,000 in its inaugural outing to benefit the Silicon Valley Education Foundation. The day long event that culminated with a gala dinner at Levi’s Stadium hosted Silicon Valley’s heavy hitters, including Scott Cook, Ken Coleman, Carol Bartz, Paul Humphries, Dave House and 49ers Foundation execs John York and Joanne Pasternack.
Over 700 guests enjoyed wines poured by over 50 vintners from the Santa Cruz Mountains during the day at the Grand Wine and Food Tasting. The evening’s five-course wine pairing dinner was MC’d by CBS’s Liam Mayclem, and hosted over 300 attendees who were also treated to a performance by famed artist Michael Israel.
The $600,000 raised through the combined silent and live auctions will support public education throughout Silicon Valley.
“An impressive amount of money was raised for SVEF’s many STEM programs that help improve student achievement,” said House, a SVEF Board Member.
