Brazil comes to Miami Beach this July and bringing the heat with a new three-day-only menu at Bistrot Bagatelle Miami Beach. Although it is winter in Brazil right now, Chef Matthieu Godard of Bagatelle Miami Beach and Chef Gustavo Young of Bagatelle São Paolo are collaborating to bring you Bagatelle do Brazil, a Brazilian inspired menu only at the sister location in Miami Beach.
The Brazilian fare will be available July 23, 24, 25. The sizzling menu will include a dish called Le Trivial Bagatelle Brazil that is made with grilled picanha, a cut of beef popular to Brazil, jasmine rice, white beans, sautéed spinach and manioc farofa or choose to indulge in a pastry native to Brazilians, found on every street corner, called Poulet Roti’s Coxinha with Bearnaise Sauce which is a drumstick-shaped pastry filled with chicken and fried in cooked dough. And for dessert, finish off with a typical Brazilian treat called Romeo and Juliet, a combination of guava and cheese from the Minas Gerais state.
Both Matthieu Godard and Gustavo Young have worked in restaurants with three Michelin stars, an extremely high rank in the food world. Before helming the kitchen in Bistrot Bagatelle in Miami Beach, France native Matthieu Godard served as head chef of Bistro Moderne Miami and also with Daniel Boulud at world-renowned restaurant Daniel in New York. While Brazilian native Gustavo Young gained experience in El Celler de Can Roca in Spain that was voted best restaurant in the world in 2013 by Restaurant Magazine before working as Executive Chef of the first Bagatelle in South America.
