Zuma Dominates at Regional Diageo World Class Final

Zuma has announced that two of its UAE barmen took first and second place at the regional finals of the Diageo World Class competition last week. Mehmet Sur, Bar Manager, Zuma Abu Dhabi was awarded first place, closely followed by Mijea Razvan, Bar Manager, Zuma Dubai. Sur is now through to the global finals, and will be heading to Cape Town later this year.

“The team has been working extremely hard for this day and I am very proud of Mehmet’s and Razvan’s positions,” said Jimmy Barrat, Bar Development Manager for Zuma Dubai and Abu Dhabi. “We believe in consistently innovating and only serving the best at Zuma and this was recognised by the judges. We are overjoyed at our colleagues success especially against such tough competition. The entire Zuma team wishes Mehmet the best of luck in Cape Town.”

Last November, Noel Pusch, Sommelier, Zuma Abu Dhabi was named the global Sake Sommelier of the Year by the Academy of Food & Wine Service and the Sake Sommelier Association.
