China Through the Looking Glass
MET Museum:

This exhibition explores the impact of Chinese aesthetics on Western fashion and how China has influenced the fashion industry for centuries. In this collaboration between The Costume Institute and the Department of Asian Art, high fashion is combined with Chinese costumes, paintings and porcelains.  A stunning show!

Fashioning the Body: An Intimate History of the Silhouette
Bard Graduate Center:

Curated by Dr. Denis Bruna, curator, Fashion and Textile department, Musée des Arts Décoratifs, and professor at the École du Louvre, this fun exhibition examines the extraordinary ways in which women and men have shaped their bodies into the prototypes set by the fashion industry.
