Summer is the season of leisure, and there are plenty of amazing art exhibits around New York that are just waiting to steal your time and attention away from work. Here are some of the most hotly anticipated museum exhibits hitting the city this summer.

China Through the Looking Glass
MET Museum: 1000 Fifth Avenue
This exhibition explores the impact of Chinese aesthetics on Western fashion and how China has influenced the fashion industry for centuries. In this collaboration between The Costume Institute and the Department of Asian Art, high fashion is combined with Chinese costumes, paintings and porcelains.  A stunning show!

Fashioning the Body: An Intimate History of the Silhouette
Bard Graduate Center: 18 West 86th Street
Curated by Dr. Denis Bruna, curator, Fashion and Textile department, Musée des Arts Décoratifs, and professor at the École du Louvre, this fun exhibition examines the extraordinary ways in which women and men have shaped their bodies into the prototypes set by the fashion industry.

Ralph Pucci: The Art of the Mannequin
Museum of Arts and Design (MAD): 2 Columbus Circle
The Art of the Mannequin will is the 1st exhibition to display the work of renowned Fashion Designer Ralph Pucci.  The show includes over 30 of his must important Mannequins and a recreation of his sculpture studio.
