Jean-Georges Vonderichten Comes To Dubai
Celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vonderichten has just opened two new restaurants in Dubai. Opening night was a star-studded, invite-only affair with 500 VIP guests on the list. Among those who toasted Vonderichten’s new restaurants in Dubai were actress Nargis Fakhir and actor David Hasselhoff. Both restaurants are at the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, and anyone who’s anyone will soon be dining at them.

JG Dining Room offers the ultimate dining experience with a wide selection of dishes designed by Jean-Georges Vonderichten himself. The centerpiece of the space is a sparkling array of chandeliers made from hand-blown glass. The design makes the most of the natural light from the terrace by reflecting it around to create a charming, sophisticated dining experience.

World-renown interior designer Gwenael Nicolas designed the space using woods, white shells, and stone. The open kitchen gives diners a full view of their meals being prepared, while a flowing white fabric chandelier designed by Japanese artist Reiko Sudoh provides lighting and a unique flair to the restaurant’s dining room. Diners can also enjoy the terrace from a luxurious lounge that runs along a stunning curved glass wall.

The triple-Michelin-starred chef told The National, “These are bites of what’s to come. We want to give people enough to entice them to come back. This is the best from Jean-Georges in New York.”
Vonderichten has more than 30 restaurants located in the world’s biggest and trendiest cities, including JG Tokyo in Japan, New York’s The Mercer Kitchen, The Mark, ABC Kitchen, and Jean-Georges, and On the Rocks, which is located in St. Barths. The Dubai locations came about through a strategic alliance between hospitality group GFD Group and the Four Seasons Resort Dubai. One of GFD Group’s initiatives is to bring multiple Michelin-starred chefs to the United Arab Emirates.
