Harrods Hosts Hublot Fluorescent Fusion Exhibition In London
For the second year in a row, Harrods welcomed Hublot inside the store’s main Brompton Road windows to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Hublot Big Bang.
Last year, the Swiss watch brand enjoyed a hugely successful pop-up when it parked a Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 inside the revered London department store.
This year however, it is all about Hublot’s impressive 2015 collection, which includes model N°1 of the new limited edition Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon 5-day Power Reserve Indicator Full Magic Gold.
The Harrods exhibition will take place between between June 2 and June 28, and marks the second stop on the “Big Bang Grand Tour,” before traveling to Paris, New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
“The exhibition at Harrods this year is particularly exciting,” said Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot. “It is an iconic space, with an impact that can be felt globally.”
It is the first time Hublot hosts an event in London since taking over distribution in the United Kingdom.
“We wanted to mark the occasion, and show that Hublot is a powerful brand, ready to invest in this market,” said Mr. Guadalupe.
Hublot duly came out en force to celebrate, as United Kingdom, Ireland, France & Benelux Director Benoît Lecigne, and brand ambassador and Manager of the England National football team Roy Hodgson, both joined Mr. Guadalupe for the launch of the exhibition.
Several novelties were being displayed for the first time in United Kingdom, such as the Hublot Big Bang “10 Years” Haute Joaillerie Full Baguettes Black Diamonds, and the All Black version 8 Days Power Reserve from the emblematic Classic Fusion Collection.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary, Hublot has unveiled an interactive installation that opens the door to the world of Hublot, and shows off a collection including the Big Bang Ferrari Carbon, and the Big Bang UNICO Italia Independent.
