In April, British luxury automobile manufacturer Aston Martin announced a partnership with Quintessence Yachts to produce the first-ever Aston Martin powerboat. Most recently, details of the plush powerboat have been revealed.

The AM37 powerboat, which will reflect Aston Martin’s creed, “Power, Beauty and Soul,” features a sliding deck door that will completely cover the cockpit, keep out unwanted guests and protect the surface from weather elements. The deck will include three carbon panels, which can be operated by an electronic command of the AM37 key. Following the command of the key, the deck seamlessly opens to allow onboarding to the dock. The deck may also be raised to allow access to the engine room, storage compartments and bimini top.

The luxury powerboat will have integrated navigation, control monitor and entertainment systems as well as advanced multimedia functions. Oh let’s not forget Aston Martin’s interactive voice control will also be available onboard. The inrerface of the multimedia and entertainment systems boast a 15-in HD touchscreen on the dashboard. However, owners of the yacht will have their own display where they can monitor engine status and navigation.

For the project, Quintessence Yachts tapped Mulder Design to provide naval architecture services ad draw the framework of the design as well as working closely with the luxury car manufacturer.

The powerboat is slated to be completed this fall.

In a press release, Katia Bassi, managing director of Aston Martin brands, said, “Over the course of our 102-year history, Aston Martin has produced some of the most iconic luxury sports cars of all time. Our contemporary designs retain classic lines whilst delivering the latest technical innovations: the exciting range of luxury speedboats we are developing with Quintessence Yachts reflects this commitment to excellence in every field, as well as perfectly encapsulating our ‘Art of Living’ philosophy.”
